It’s nearly here!
The new season is almost upon us and we can’t wait!
Wednesday featured the clubs first pre-season fixture of the season with the visit of St Ives RFC to Sedley Taylor Road and it was great to see so many players new and old taking to the field and supporting from the sidelines! Thanks also to all the friends and supporters who made it down and cheered the boys on. In the end (despite giving away a LOT of penalties) Cantabs ran out deserved 26-10 winners and set a benchmark for the season.
We have seen great numbers down at pre-season training with the boys putting in the extra hard work to prepare for the season. As always, any new or returning players are very welcome, no matter experience or fitness level.
Our next fixture sees us travel with 2 squads to Wymondham on the 31st August. We have booked a coach for this trip and Wymondham are hosting a beer festival after the games which should make for an excellent day. If you would like to join us on the coach please email contact@cantabs.co.uk

Continues Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Club from 7pm. We shall shortly be entering the final phase of Pre-season and gearing up towards our pre-season fixtures. Numbers so far have been excellent but if you haven’t been able to make it down so far, don’t put it off any longer, get yourself down and get involved.

President Daren Sheward has promised to make this seasons lunches better than ever and we cannot wait to welcome you to the club to enjoy some famous Cantabs hospitality.

11th July 2020 - Cantabs Ball
It may seem like a long way off, but work has already started on planning the Cantabs RUFC Ball 2020. It promises to be a fantastic night so please stick the date in your diary and don’t miss out. Details on tickets and how to get hold of them will be released later int the season.

Sponsorship
As previously mentioned, the club is on the lookout for new sponsors for the 2019/20 season and our newly formed sponsorship committee have been doing a great job reaching out to local businesses and partners. Membership
Just a friendly reminder to make sure that your social or player membership is sorted for the coming season (due in September). Membership allows the club to continue to run and the club to grow to bigger and better things.
