After just one season away, Cantabs are back in London 2. We have been promoted along with West Norfolk, following mathematical completion of the league standings for the 2019/20 season. We were adjudged to have finished runners up to West Norfolk - so close yet so far.

The long awaited show-down game at Sedley Taylor Road between the two clubs, for bragging rights, will now not take place until next season, in a higher divisi...

Message from RFU Chief Executive Bill Sweeney

My thoughts and those of all of us at the RFU are with everyone impacted by COVID-19 as well as recent flooding events, both across the country at large but also within our own rugby union community.

In order to provide clarity and to assist with immediate and longer term planning, the RFU is today announcing the end of the 2019/20 rugby season for all league, cup and county rugby...

It took a virus - probably the only way we were going to lose again this season. Covid - 1XX, very unfair odds against our Cantabs XV.

We are on lock-down down until April 14th; and that date will be subject to future review by HM Government and the RFU.

Watch this space for further updates. Keep yourselves safe and fit - see you all later in the year.

Very disappointing for Cantabs and our supporters who had been hoping for a continuance of the unbeaten run for the 1st XV which goes back to the second game of the season.

As a consequence, the Members' lunch which should have preceded this game, is al...

Cantabs having last played a month ago, were keen to continue their winning run, which stretched back to the second game of the season. Wisbech had made it across the Fens to Sedley Taylor Road and were badly in need of league points to move away from the drop zone. Rich Ford was back at 2nd row behind an unchanged front five and Adam Fastnedge had recovered from injury to resume at inside centre. The Cantabs scrum would doubt...

Our members will have two games to keep them awake after Julie's pre-match meal and the odd pint or two. A resurgent Thurston are the visitors at Sedley Taylor Road in a London 3 NE encounter, with Cantabs 1st XV hoping to maintain their six match winning run and posting a virtually unchanged squad. Just two additions to the eighteen. Tim Kirkconel, who starts on the bench as a utility forward replacement. And new recruit Jos...

Cantabs headed off to Canterbury for the weekend for their annual pre-season camp. This year we were hosted by friend of the club and Fiji rugby legend Nicky Little.

After arriving on Friday evening, tents were pitched, leaving just enough time for a quick game of kick tennis on the 3G before lighting up the barbecue. Tom Bailey displayed his excellent knife skills in fashioning some beautiful salad bowls (good nutrition is vi...
