Cantabs prepare to Clash with Diss

Cantabs host top of the table Diss in London 2NE on Saturday looking to continue their run of 4 league games.

Captain Jon Perks is keen for the club to continue their good form in the league and is hoping that strong home support will help the team to victory.

It is going to be a tough battle, We got a good win at Norwich last weekend and we did beat Diss at home last season.

We should have a good crowd behind us so hopefully we can give them a good game. We are always going to score tries, we have just got to defend well and make sure they do not score many.

The home side are without David Evershed, as Pete Collins steps up into the second row. Double try scorer last week Jonny Regan is also missing, with David Bloxham returning to the starting line up.

Elsewhere, Cantabs 2s travel to play Ely Development with a young squad looking to progress further up the table of the back of last weeks solid performance against Mildenhall.

There is plenty to work on from last weekend said 2XV Skipper Laurence Jones, at some points we clicked and looked dangerous, we just need to maintain our structure and shape to allow us to challenge further up the league.

With Newmarket 2s unable to field a side for the 3XV fixture the club are hopeful of a home friendly to give the boys a solid run out.
