Francois Eve scored a hat-trick of tries as the Cantabrigian bandwagon continued to roll with a crushing 83-0 win at Thurston in Greene King IPA Eastern Counties One.
Cantabs moved to the top of the table after scoring 13 tries, with Eve’s treble supplemented by two apiece from Warren Cowan and James McCraughen and one each from Charlie Searle, Nick Meyer, Jonny Heaver and captain Chris Walliker.
Chris Lovett touched down twice and kicked nine conversions, and Walliker said: "Nearly all the conversions were out on the wing and his place-kicking was superb.
"We gave Dan Searle man of the match as he stole so much on the floor. We have converted him from wing to back row and he is having a whale of a time at the moment."
He added: "After the game we said we didn’t play as well as we could have done. Thurston had a lot of players away and we took advantage of that."
