It has been a strange time to be a Cantab. For the first time ever the club has just completed a virtual AGM, appointing its new Captains and officers for the 2020-2021 season and I am pleased to confirm these below:

All are great club men and we look forward to driving the club forwards together this season
Sadly, previous 1XV vice captain Adam Fastnedge has decided to relocate to Australia (who can blame him!). We would like to thank him for his dedicated service and performances on and off the field and wish him all the best for the future. I am sure we will see him again. Once a Cantab always a Cantab
The last week has, after an extended break, seen us return to some form of training ( in line with government and RFU guidelines) at the club, working in groups of 6. Whilst this may be some way off what we would like to be doing it has been great to be able to enjoy some additional interactions and training alongside your teammates is a great way to spur you on!
With additional lifting of restrictions this weekend we also hope to be able to provide post training beers to aid rehydration (they do taste so good after a tough session)
In some ways it feels like we are returning to a sense of normality but not quite as we knew it before. We will get there together eventually but it is great to appreciate what freedoms we do now have
