Ladies Day2026
A sit down lunch for the women around the club, two Cantabs sides at home, and an evening in the clubhouse with the bar open. Last year's Ladies Day raised over £1,500 for the club. This year there is rugby to go with it.
Ladies Day 2026 has been and gone. Thank you to everyone who came, cooked, poured, played and gave.
Lunch, then rugby
Ladies Day is aimed at the women around the club: partners, mums, sisters, daughters, team mates and friends. Whether you have been coming to Sedley Taylor Road for years or have never set foot in a rugby club, you will be looked after.
A three course roast dinner and a drink of your choice: white, rosé or red wine, prosecco, or a non-alcoholic option. Paid in advance, with the payment details inside the booking form.
Book through the club's form. Each guest fills in her own, so the kitchen has the right numbers and everyone gets the main course and the drink she chose.
Both, genuinely. This is a rugby club on a Saturday, not a wedding breakfast. Bring who you need to bring.
Ladies Day is an excuse to make an afternoon of it. There is no dress code, and nobody will mind either way.
Ladies Day 2026 took place on Saturday 3 October, with the Ladies Lunch followed by the 2nd XV against Fenland Barbarians and the 1st XV against Southwold, both at home. The next club event will appear on the events page when it is announced.
See what else is onRugby on the day
Ladies Day has two Cantabs sides playing at home on the same afternoon. Both are free to watch, no ticket needed, and both squads will warm up in limited edition sponsored tops made for the day.
Kick off times are being confirmed and will appear here as soon as they are set. For the rest of the season, see the fixtures page.
The evening
When the rugby finishes the clubhouse stays open. No ticket, no entry fee, everyone welcome, whether you were at the lunch or have just walked in.
The bar takes card. There is no cup deposit and no token system, so you can simply order and pay.
A playlist rather than a live band, running through the evening while the clubhouse empties at its own pace.
Food is part of the lunch only. If you are coming for the evening, eat first.
Players, families, supporters, neighbours, and anyone who fancies seeing what the club is like on a Saturday night.
Sedley Taylor Road
The club is at 23 Sedley Taylor Road, off Long Road, Cambridge CB2 8PW. Full directions, the map, and the bus and train details are on the find us page.
With two home games and the lunch, the ground will be busier than a normal Saturday. Other forms of transport are advised.
The ground sits on the Cambridge to London line, a short ride or walk from the station, which is the easier option if you are having a drink with lunch.
Back Ladies Day
Ladies Day raises money for the club, and local businesses make that possible. Some sponsors are already on board for 2026, and there is still room for others.
Your name on the day itself, in front of the lunch, both home crowds and the evening.
Limited edition tops worn by both squads on the day and kept afterwards, so the day carries on being seen long after it finishes.
