Beccles game called off

The rearranged away league fixture against bottom of the table Beccles has been forfeited by the home side, because they are unable to field a side. Cantabs had won the corresponding match at Sedley Taylor Road by a wide margin. We wish Beccles every success for the rest of the season and hope that their inevitable relegation will be the catalyst towards a recovery in fortunes for a long-standing opponent of Cantabs. This club will not exist without opposition and it is sad that more and more clubs are cancelling games for lack of players. Cantabs seem to be fighting the trend with three sides having played last weekend.

As a consequence of the game being forfeited, Cantabs take over at the top of London 3, leading West Norfolk by four points, but now having "played" a game more. April 18th is probably going to be the showdown for automatic promotion to London 2, as the two clubs will meet in the last game of the season at Sedley Taylor Road - don't miss it!
